Purpose

Selank and Semax come from the same Russian peptide research programme and are the two most commonly discussed peptides in the cognitive/anxiolytic research literature outside benzodiazepine and monoamine-modulator classes. They are characterised in distinct mechanisms — Selank as a GABAergic/neuroimmune modulator, Semax as a BDNF/NGF-upregulating neurotrophic peptide — and are commonly stacked in reported protocols on that mechanistic basis.

Component peptides

  • Selank — 100–400 mcg intranasally, one to three times daily.
  • Semax — 200–600 mcg intranasally, one or two times daily.

Timing & rotation

Community research writeups typically describe morning Semax and afternoon/evening Selank, in a 4-week course followed by a 4-week washout. Some protocols dose Semax in the morning-only for its neurotrophic upregulation effects and use Selank on an as-needed basis for its anxiolytic profile.

Reconstitution notes

Both peptides are typically reconstituted in bacteriostatic water at 2,500 mcg/mL and transferred to intranasal-dropper or spray applicators. See the reference reconstitution guide for technique.

Reported outcomes

Rodent behavioural studies report anxiolytic and pro-cognitive signatures with the individual peptides. Russian clinical work supports each individually in specific indications; combined human trials are not established in the peer-reviewed English-language literature.
